Brooklyn

Welcome to Brooklyn, New York City's borough of "neighborhoods". The borough administration had distinctive traffic signs made and posted on the major traffic lanes at Brooklyn's borderlines.  One of the signs one might see, "Home to Everyone From Everywhere!" depicts the borough probably better then any form of advertisement. There are over 70 distinct neighborhoods in the borough, which contain the most groups of people from every culture, ethnic group and racial standing of probably anywhere in the United States, or the World for that matter.

Forty four percent of Brooklyn's workforce population works within the borough, with more then half the workforce population of the borough depending on jobs outside. Manhattan's economic standings are very important to the job seekers in Brooklyn.  Jobs in service related fields such as retail and construction are strong in this borough due to its large international immigration populus.

You won't see as many yellow cabs in Brooklyn as you will in Manhattan but this borough also relies heavily on public transportation to get to and from work.  Almost 93% of the residents traveling to Manhattan use the subway which is accounted to the fact that there are 18 New York Subway lines traveling through this borough. There is also a huge public bus network throughout the borough as well as a daily dedicated express bus line to Manhattan.

Three bridges connect Brooklyn to Manhattan, the ever famous Brooklyn Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge and the Williamsburg Bridge, there is also the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel for vehicles, and of course the subway system of tunnels.
